Green Drive


 La Martiniere Girls’ College, Lucknow organized a unique Green Drive on Thursday, 15th July, which saw The Honorable Chief Minister, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav and dignitaries like   Prof. Abhishek Mishra, the Chief Forest Conservator, Mr. Upadhyaya, Mr. Amrit Abhijat and support of College staff, guests and alumni.

Chandan (Sandalwood), Mogra and Brahmi were planted in small, decorative pots made with recycled material, to be transplanted later. Hon. Chief Minister, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav planted the sacred Paarijaat, which is legendary as the wish bearing tree. 

This was followed by the grand illumination of Khursheed Manzil by the Chief minister.

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has assisted towards the conservation of the magnificent Khursheed Manzil and converting it into a museum.  The miniature castle like edifice was formally illuminated by our Hon. Chief Minister, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav in the evening. He was accompanied by  on this historic and memorable occasion. The college gates will be thrown open to all from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. as part of the guided Lucknow Heritage Walk.

Tea was served to all in the beautifully lit lawns of the college.

The CM also praised the energy sfficient activities of the school, seeing the solar cookers in use.
